All student supplies, artwork, report cards, 3rd quarter award ribbons, and spring pictures are included in students' bags that you will pick up during that time. Please see your email for the procedures for picking up your child's belongings. Just a reminder that students are not permitted to exit the vehicles. Only one adult may exit to pick up the student's belongings. I really hope to see all of your children and wave to them from your vehicle to say good-bye before summer!
Last Day of School - Thursday, May 21st
This Week's Remote Assignments- Students do not have structured assignments this week as they have the past several weeks. Instead, they have a list of virtual field trips, virtual field day activities, and other fun activities they can do since we weren't able to do many of the fun, end of the year activities this year. There is nothing that students need to turn in to me this week. I hope they enjoy the fun, virtual activities for their last week of school!

MES Remote Learning:
Each Friday we will be posting the lessons for the following week, so families can plan ahead. Google Classroom assignments will not be posted until Monday, so students will not have access to those until the school week begins.
Education packets are only being provided to families with no access to technology and/or internet. If you are interested in having hard copies of materials for your child, these are available on our website at (http://monroelocalschools.com/schools/elementary/page.cfm?id=199 ) for printing at home or through Staples (see information below). Students do not need to complete both the remote learning assignment and the packet. If your child has access to technology and internet we ask that they complete the remote learning assignments unless you have made other arrangements with your child's teacher and/or your child's intervention specialist.
The following are offering non-digital resources designed to help families implement remote learning.
STAPLES Office Supply Stores in Ohio are offering free printing of school packets. From the Counselor, Mrs. Irons:
Hello MES Students and Parents! I know that the closure of school can cause a lot of big emotions. Remember that we can only control our R (response) to these E (events). It's okay to feel mixed emotions, but what you do with those emotions is what matters. I've included two links below. The first one talks about the Corona Virus and what we can do to help ourselves. The second link is a way for you to check in with me anytime you want. I am still here for anyone who needs to talk about their feelings, worries, or even if you want to share something exciting (I would love to hear about it!). You can also email me at [email protected]
